Details of what's on at Garland Street Baptist Church, and in our wider Christian Community.
Thursday 19th May 7pm Church meetings, our AGM and Deacons’ Elections, and Special Church meeting re Fornham Chapel. Our church meetings are our regular time to discuss and agree our plans for the future. Church meetings are closed; this means that unless you are a member (voted on to the church membership), you are not able to attend. The exceptions to this are our January and July meetings, which are open meetings and anyone who fellowships with us can attend.
Garland Street Baptist Church is part of 'Churches Together', where we share information and resources with churches in our area. Churches Together are running a series of three study sessions open to all. Here are the details of the last one:
Wednesday 25th May 7:30pm Churches' Together Study and Share Groups 3 of 3 “Encounters With God” (Gospels) with Fr. David Bagstaff, Whepstead Baptist Church, Rectory Road, Whepstead, IP29 4TB
Sunday 5th June 3:30pm Jubilee Cream Tea, The Elven Centre, all welcome. Join us and our friends and neighbours as we celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a wonderful afternoon of fellowship and delicious food. Our thanks to our Catering Team for organising this! If you would like to invite guests, postcards are available in church.
Christmas; yes, we know it's early to talk about Christmas when we have not yet celebrated Easter, but we like to plan ahead :-) We will be launching our first ever (we think...) Christmas Card Competition in May! We will hold an exhibition of entries in September (details to be confirmed).
A selection of entries will be chosen and used for our Christmas cards, sharing the good news of Christmas, and details of our special services, with our friends and neighbours. We'll announce details soon!
