The Elven Centre was built more than 100 years ago to be a school hall for young people during the week and on Sundays. Now named The Elven Centre after a long-serving minister of the church, the building is home for Boys' Brigade and Aspire (our youth work), a carpet bowls club, a table tennis club and many other activities. The hall can also be hired for certain activities. For more information on hiring, please contact bookings@garlandstreet.org.uk
We're currently working on a phased update and refresh of the buildings. In September 2019, a new roof was fitted with new guttering and windows. In November 2019, the air conditioning and heating system was upgraded. In May 2020, the sash windows were refurbished. An upstairs room has been redecorated, and future planscall for additional updating as well as installing a new kitchen and toilet facilities.
