Communication
We had planned to re-open for two worship services in November 2020, but because of the national lockdown, these services were cancelled. We aim to have two services in December. They'll be exactly the same, so you may attend one or the other. Details on how to book these and the timing will be coming soon.
All physical gatherings and meetings are postponed until further notice
It is with deep regret that, in line with government guidelines and Baptist Union advice, with immediate effect, all church gatherings have stopped. This includes Sundays and midweek meetings. This does not mean the church has gone away. The way in which we pray, support one another and love our neighbours will be part of the witness of the church during this crisis.
I hope the following notes will help you to be sustained in prayer and worship and to play your part in the church family during an unprecedented time of national and international crisis.
Prayer and Worship We urge you to be prayerful during this time. This is an international crisis which is unlike any other during peacetime and we need to pray for the nation, the government, the NHS and our local community. The leaders call the church to urgent prayer every evening between 9pm and 10pm. If we all pray at some point during this time there is a sense of praying in solidarity. During a period of time when we can’t gather, there are other ways you can share in the worship of God.
A MORE DETAILED STATEMENT AND ALL THE WAYS WE ARE KEEPING COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THIS PERIOD HAVE BEEN SENT TO ALL OUR REGULAR ATTENDEES. CONTACT US FOR MORE INFO!
Thank you for visiting our website. You will be aware of the current epidemic COVID-19. As a church our leadership team are taking this issue very seriously. A significant number of our regular congregation are in an 'at risk' category, therefore in the interest of keeping everyone safe and in accordance to goverment guidelines, all our actvities will be postponed until futurer notice, we are in contact with all of the congregation with support and links to other services. Homegroup leaders will be incontact with their groups via telephone calls.
What can you do...
Firstly, we want to encourage you to pray, pray for those who have the virus, for those who are treating people, for those working on vaccines and people in leadership. Let's also be bold in our prayers and ask God to do something that only he can do!
We have listed some advice below but make sure you keep up to date with the
ADVICE FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND NHS
How to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus
Do
Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
(Say the Lords Prayer whilst washing your hands, this is the correct amount of time to wash, 20 seconds, your hands!)
Always wash your hands when you get home, into the church, into work etc.
Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
Don't
Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
Don't come to church if you feel at all unwell
Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms
Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
A high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
A new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital if you have symptoms.
If your symptoms get worse call 111 or your doctor.
